Also at Echo Ridge high is Katrin, Brooke and Viv- the 3 front runners for Homecoming Queen- Katrin also being Malcolm’s step-sister. Starting school at Echo Ridge, the twins meet and befriend Malcolm and Mia- both of whom have older siblings involved in Lacey’s case. Even after all this time neither case has ever been solved but the main suspect in Lacey’s murder is her ex-boyfriend Declan Kelky- who has since fled town. True crime addict Ellery is fascinated by the town’s gruseome history, especially since her mother refuses to talk about her history with the town. Despite never having been to Echo Ridge before the twins have a dark and twisted history with the town- in 1995 their mother’s twin sister Sarah seemingly vanished one night and then only 5 years ago Lacey Kilduff- a close friend of the family- was murdered. Two can keep a secret follows the Corcoran twins– Ellery and Ezra who have recently moved to the pictureesque town of Echo Ridge whilst their mother Sadie spends some time in rehab. McManus was able to create such an engaging mystery that I couldn’t put down- but would she be able to do it again? In regards to the second book however I didn’t even know it existed until I saw it sitting in a shop a few weeks ago and I instantly bought it. McManus’ debut novel One of us is Lying pretty much all in one sitting- I just had to know who the killer was. Two dead Homecoming Queens, five years later, is the killer back?
